NORTHERN LIGHTS

The Northern Lights Astrological Society was formed on the 30th October 1992 at 7.30 pm GMT at Cleveleys, Blackpool, Lancashire, England.

The aims of the Society are very simple - to promote Astrology in the North West, to educatate its members and the public on all aspects of Astrology and to provide a base for like minded people to meet, socialise and share astrological knowledge.

The Society meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 8pm in a private room at the Blackpool Cricket Club, West Park Drive, Blackpool.

All the Society's meetings are open to the public and new faces are always assured of a warm welcome.

There is no meeting in December when instead the Society hosts an Annual Christmas Lunch with a Special Guest Speaker, three course meal and grand raffle. Our Special Guest Speaker at this years Christmas Lunch was ROY GILLETT, President of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, who looked ahead to 2008 and what Pluto's ingress into Capricorn meant for us all.

At the monthly meetings we have a speaker, from the Society or a guest speaker from the North West, National or even International, such as Russian Astrologer Professor Sergie Smelikov and American author and Astrologer Courtney Roberts, both of whom have addressed the Society in recent years.

The Society's members range from complete beginners to Professional Astrologers and there is always something for everyone at Northern Lights. Apart from the meetings and the Christmas Lunch, the Society also has qualified Tutors who run beginners, intermediate and advanced Astrology courses along the Fylde Coast.

The Society also runs workshops, such as the one in August 2007 on Chart Interpretation at Rossall School, Fleetwood, that was given by the Society's President, the famous television astrologer RUSSELL GRANT.

The Society also publishes its own quarterly newsletter ICARUS which is written by the members for its members. Click on the other pages to learn more about Northern Lights...
